Yoga Dream Pillows

Have been dreaming of yoga pillows of late. In this busy world full of whirling and twirling in all directions yoga,  meditation, relaxation or simply taking a few quiet moments to breathe are becoming prerequisites.  Recently created pillows featuring cherry blossoms and flowers from the days of peace and love.

Handpainted silk yoga pillows which are filled with a blend of organic herbs to lull you into a state of peaceful bliss. I will be working on a range of these throughout the year together with Dream Pillows. The world needs more dreamers.

Summer Days

Summer has passed by in a haze of fun, high humidity and chance meetings. It has been a wonderful period of time and as I think back on all the happy faces, the art created, the dreams nurtured, the laughter shared and the beauty of the season I can't help but smile and feel awash in a peaceful feeling. Some memories of those warm languid summer days

Hoping your Christmas was both merry and bright coupled with hushed quiet moments for pondering the sacred.  Now time to reflect on the joy that was. A quick look over the shoulder back to 2017 and a nod to lessons learnt.  Time now to go forward into a brand New Year ripe for the picking with new opportunities and new visions. Some scenes from a Christmas which spanned Sydney, Melbourne and The Sub Tropical North. Here a look at a the time spent in Sydney. May 2018 be a year for the dreamers.

Christmas Beetles

Searching for Christmas Beetles

The arrival of the first Christmas Beetle always heralded the arrival of Summer and Christmas. These days even out of the cities Christmas Beetles are getting so much harder to find as there habitat is turned into housing. Until I spot the first one of the Summer I am just going to have to keep painting. Taking this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and very best wishes for the season wherever you are and however you celebrate. Thank you to those who have visited here in 2017 and I look forward to doing it all again in 2018.  Now time for a journey of 4,000 kms and celebrating Christmases in two states in the tall cities of the south before returning on Christmas night to the welcoming lights of our own Christmas tree.  I will be back later in December with photos of Christmas in Australia from the cities and from the sub tropics. Merry Christmas xxx

Spring has been a turbulent time with the weather changing and a busy time wth life changing too. Heading off in new directions doesn't come without some consternation. Before loosening the bow lines and figuratively setting sail on new adventures comes the inevitable cry of Break Camp! Right on queue Mother Nature showed up shine and shimmer and inspire us on.

Oils Ain't Oils

Oils Ain't Oils but Sometimes They Is!

Julian Rocks, Lighthouses and Sea Walls you have been the backdrop to our lives for so long now.

I have been looking back over oil paintings completed some time ago. It has been a timely call back to this glorious medium when life and the muse allows. The paintings reflect the beautiful area where I have lived for a long time. New beginnings are nearly upon us. I'm looking forward to all the adventures creative times that lie ahead but a piece of this most special place will always remain with me.

A Time For Peace Doves

Sometimes we need to stop and reflect awhile.  In our often busy and at times topsy turvey world it's good to take a moment and breath in Peace before gaining momentum again. I felt this week is a fine time to post Peace Doves and a timely reminder to do just that.
